Who counts for council tax in the household?
Count only adults who are not disregarded. Full-time students and people who qualify for the SMI disregard are usually not counted.
Does the home qualify for the disability band reduction?
This usually applies if the property has an extra room, bathroom, kitchen, or wheelchair space essential for a disabled resident.
Using your own council's Band D charge makes the estimate more accurate.
